Cruising Wilbert

My name is Keith DeVey. I am a 25 year old kid, yes kid, who is constantly coming up with ideas, inventing games, and day dreaming. In sixth grade, we were asked what we wanted to be when we grew up, my 6th grade yearbook caption read "Game/Toy inventor." Over a decade later, I still find myself exhibiting the same youthful and imaginative conquests. One day, I was sitting on a park bench during my lunch break at work and thought: "It would be cool to follow the path of an object as it travels around the world." The idea was born. Two days later, I bought a doll, named it Wilbert, and give it to someone to enjoy. Then they would have to give it to someone else, and on an on. Wilbert would be a hitchhiking travel companion. People have asked me, "So you are sending a doll around the world, big deal. What's the point?" The answer is simple. I may never get the opportunity to see the Pyramids in Egypt or the ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru, but Wilbert's uncharted journey may lead him there some day. And if he does, a small part of me, as well as anyone that spent time with Wilbert along the way, will feel as if they too have gone. The game is simple. One doll, endless destinations. I can't wait to see what develops. For comments, suggestions, and press inquiries please email Keith at CruisingWilbert@gmail.com
